![]() Does she remain alive as her character (either not boarding the coaster at all or rescued alive from the wreckage?) Jane was decapitated so it's not likely she could just magically wake up in the hospital or at the scene! So that means likely some manipulations have to occur - either the coaster crash is re-played without Jane - by moving her to another seat as the lone-survivor (injured but alive?) or not having her board the coaster at all, Final Destination-style which would make sense. It is said the winner of Karnak's competition can "come back" to life. In the end when the five resume position on the roller coaster headed toward the afterlife are they "replaying" the tragedy again without Jane? Or were they plucked out to play the game before or right at the moment of death? Jane clearly isn't on the ride. In the opening when the concert at the fair is staged, Jane is not present (though the actress sings offstage). She wasn't with them in the group unless she originally boarded alone, went "hey, kids from my school!" and joined them. Why was Jane there? None of the choir knows who she is and they remember literally everything else, so she's plainly not a choir member. It's not specified that other people died and nor if other people were on the ride and survived. Karnak did not read her fortune and it makes sense the kids might have all done this together. No family claims her, and since the choir director also dies of a heart attack hours later, nobody can confirm her as a choir member or not. Nobody knows who she is but it's assumed she is part of the choir since she was on the ride, in the uniform and the entire choir died. My question: was Jane always this person, or is she a ringer brought in by Karnak to ease the transition and acceptance of these kids who died in a violent tragedy? So at the end of the show Jane Doe is identified as Penny Lamb: an existing character in the writer's play Legoland who goes to St. ![]() Before posting, please message the mods to coordinate when you'll be posting and proof.
